The Perils of Being Apathetic and Disengaged (POB) is an inclusive dialogue
is the pilot project of Ten Sights Institute, and examines where there is common interest among the diversity of social perspectives expressed throughout Humanity, and a foundation of consensus for honoring them.
Consensus is the proper objective when serving the interests of all stakeholders directly and indirectly impacted by decisions, and justification of these decisions; also, rests with these stakeholders. POB is an endeavor to reach consensus on ideals of design; principles; and practices of social interaction and involvement among those choosing to participate in this forum, and as a model for inclusive discourse among the broader society. Perils may be perceived as assets to humanity in that many are considered avoidable. As serious and immediate dangers in risky situations we haven't reached yet, we can avoid perilous outcomes with enough attention and care. POB draws such attention to the social risks facing human society.
