Defender and Challenger trials will start during the New Zealand spring in October or November, 1999 and will continue into early 2000. The scheduled dates for the America's Cup match (all 2000) are:
Race 1: Saturday, 26 February
Race 2: Sunday, 27 February
Race 3: Tuesday, 29 February
Race 4: Thursday, 2 March
Race 5: Saturday, 4 March
Race 6: Sunday, 5 March (if needed)
Race 7: Tuesday, 7 March (if needed)
Race 8: Thursday, 9 March (if needed)
Race 9: Saturday, 11 March (if needed)
Spare: Sunday, 12 March
Spare: Tuesday, 14 March
Spare: Thursday, 16 March
