Basement Family Room/Multimedia
Room This is the spot for the big screen TV -- it's already wired for surround sound, and is a great informal hang-out spot. The entire back wall is that same slate tile, and to the left of the TV nook is a second gas fireplace. I also like that it has the same half wall on the left side that the upstairs family room has. Tim and I predict that the wide ledge in front of the sunny window to the right will be Tigger's new favourite spot to hang out.  Along the left side of this second family room is an honest-to-goodness exercise room, complete with rubber aerobics floor and a mirror covering the far end wall. This is going to be perfect for my morning workouts! Especially because I won't have to worry about waking people up anymore when we have guests. Tim says this space may even inspire him to get a treadmill or something and start working out regularly again.
