Those are good ideas, but we need help to make 'em happen. <pjm>
could you ask <vard> and <lagoon> if they're up for interviews, and
let me know via email? I should be able to pick up from there.
Will do.
Messages sent. <lagoon> responded enthusiastically right away. You
should be hearing from them soon.

Yes, we're in touch. Thanks!
Speaking of Business, someone ought to update the public front page
at <www.well.com> with a link to Topic 518 to make it easier for
search engines to find "savage journey" and "Hunter S. Thompson" and
"Gonzo."

Thanks, Jack. That's happening - it's usually a couple of days after
a new conversation starts.
Ok!
I am really pleased that Ben Tarnoff, author of
"Internet for the People: The Fight for Our Digital Future" will be
joining us in inkwell Starting on Aug 2.
The book looks at the many ways in which internet services, from the
physical infrastructure to our personal data, have been handed over
to major monopolies, what that means, and how we might take it back.
There's a lot to talk about and the book is really, really clear and
clear-headed.
To get ready for the discussion, we have a few pdf's of the book to
share to those willing to commit to participating. To get your copy,
send your address info to inkwell@well.com, asap. Subject line
should read: "'Internet for the people' copy".
Really looking forward to a good discussion. (Copies are also
available at local libraries and finer booksores, everywhere.)
Wow! That sounds great, Ari.

Yes, that does sound good. I've been using another book by him
(about Mark Twain and the San Francisco bohemians) in my classes at
San Francisco State.
Looking forward to it.

Hey hosts or whomever looks at web logs,
I just dropped a promo para and a link to the public inkwell State of
the World topic to the Liberal Gun Club "#current_affairs" channel on
Discord. I don't know if/how you can filter for that but I'd be
interested in how many LGC members make a reading visit.
I also offered the usual comp trial account to all LGC members who
send me email. I'd guess that 1/3 of members live on the west coast,
mostly in CA. Lots of professoinals from IT to lawyers.
I can't answer your question about the logs, but thank you for your
recruitment effort!

The banner for inkwell.vue on pico differs from the banner on
engaged regarding who the hosts are.
wlogin fixed.
So Im trying to get published - Ive completed my manuscript of
63,000 words and have one nibble, but I think I know better than to
accept the first bite without seeing who else is interested.
Id like to talk about whats important and how its all done these
days.
Great subject! We could start a separate topic for that here, if you
want it to be a public-facing conversation...?
THis could be an interesting use of the Inkwell: to help Lee get published!
Indeed!
Absolutely
Sure - make it public facing!
OK - been away for a bit and want to start a topic on Lees Looking
for a Publisher - AFAICT I font have permission to do this. Whats
involved?
I guess Jon or I have to create the topic.
Send us the text you'd like to start with and we'll do it.
