The discussion of whether a given WeLL member is Steve's spouse is a
bit iffy. I'll leave it to the hosts' discretion about whether
there is a problem and how to deal with it.

What's "iffy" about it? See posts 128, 152, and 153 in that topic.
Thanks for the clear pointer, <karish>. I've hidden those posts. I
believe that means that they won't appear in the public version.
I'll make a note to confirm that after the public version's had a
chance to update.

Hidden cannot be viewed on the web version
Thanks... I confirmed that - there's not mechanism on the public
version to open the hidden post. So those posts are no longer
visible outside the WELL.
You are a true master of the InkWELLiverse.
Thank you for the confirmation and the update. Its good to feel
secure in something. Steves death has things feeling more than
usually unreal.
Yes, for sure.
#128 doesn't contain any private information, I don't think -
Steve's husband's first name is very openly known.
Normally I'd say you have to worry about getting those pages out of
search engines and the Wayback machine, but for some reason the
Wayback machine only has up to page 6/post 150, and Google only has
one random post *#128, oddly enough)

I thought the way back machine was, like the well, moving finger and
all that.
I wasn't super-worried about those posts. If there was an issue with
them, I think we wouldn've heard about it at the time.

The WELL is pleased to announce that long time WELL member and host
Alan Chamberlain, <axon>, has agreed to join the team co-hosting the
Inkwell.vue conference, as we edge closer to the US election. He
joins continuing hosts <jonl>, <emilyg>, and <tnf>.
Alan is currently the host of the Jazz conference, g <jazz.>, he started
the trek conference back when TNG was in its first run, and also co-hosts
the scorpio.ind conference, currently enjoying its annual heyday of
birthday greetings.
Many thanks to Alan/Axon.

Go ax!
Axon! What a pleasure. Thank you!
Thanx, all, for the kind remarks. Happy to help out.
I've been tending my little garden in <jazz.> for simply decades,
and it doesn't require a lot of lifting as a rule. Considering the
many benefits of being here, I figure I probably owe the Well some
duty cycles.
Inkwell has always been in my conference list, and even when I don't
actively participate in the colloquy, I think it's consistently one
of the most interesting places around these parts. As a project, I
think it's unique in the digital statusphere. And may be the most
likely venue to attract new members. Never hurts to show a little
leg.
Fielding birthday greetings on Facebook yesterday, I was repeatedly
reminded just how many people meaningful to me, and for so long,
I've collected over the years on the Well, and how many hands make
light work.
Thanks for coming on board, axon!
Do we need to be on our best behavior in the 2024 election topic?
Are there any norms I should know?
This is publicly accessible. Cool it with the f bombs, please.
Yeah, no one swears on the Internet!!
Fuck that.
That was predictable

Inkwell exists to show the world what conversation on the WELL is
like, hoping to recruit new members for the community. There's no
reason to pull punches or avoid f-bombs. Let it all hang out.
Why bother asking if you're going to ignore the answer anyway?
