For what?!! No sorries necessary from my POV! I can hear Phil's
voice saying these things and the tone of voice, which we know
doesn't translate well.

In fact, Here's the entire 2 1/2 hour interview, which I hear in his
voice. Imagine that you are with a group of friends on a weekday
night, sitting around the living room with the beverage (or
substance) of your choice, and the following conversation
transpires. Some of his comments are funny, some are teasing, some
are deeply thoughtful, demonstrating his bright and lively mind.
You can't help but listen and be sucked in. Sometimes I took him to
class with me, and the professor would innocently call on him - not
knowing who he was - when Phil raised his hand to ask a question,
and that would be the last chance the professor got to speak. Phil
would hold the entire class in thrall.

Here's a chance to hear Phil's voice. He was invited to speak at a
convention in Metz, France.

The whole thing demonstrates what the conversation in that living
room gathering might sound. But if you don't want to listen to the
40 minutes of it, just listen to the first two minutes of it, to get
the tone - and facial expression - in which he probably riffed with
James.

The speech is called "If you think this world is bad, you should see
some of the others."

Speaking of hearing Phil's voice, here's a rare recording of Phil
being interviewed by his then 8 1/2-year-old son, Christopher:

Linda, that interview with his son Christopher is wonderful. I'm
surprised I never heard of it.

Christopher was a great interviewer! And I liked the way he paused
for commercials, although I was disappointed not to hear any of
them.

I tried to get to the interview listed above and it said I needed to
request access. (I have requested access, but wasn't sure if this
was yours or someone else's account)

Maybe I didn't encounter that because I have a Dropbox account and I
use both the website and the app on my phone. I'm sorry it's being
difficult.
