NYT gives PA to Trump, gives him a 75% chance of winning the popular
vote.

The AP shows Pennsylvania leaning red at the moment, with the accent on at
the moment:

I desperately want you to be right, Larry. I can't find the graphic
now that I saw before I posted that, but yes, it said 75%, and PA by
1 pt.

Too many websites, too fast. I gotta calm down.

Thanks, alden!

We've talked about TV, radio, and websites. How about (other) social
media? I've been peeking into Bluesky. I feel like the tone is
2016-2020 Twitter but its various algorithmic timelines disrupt the
feeling that I am seeing a cascade of immediate reactions.

I'm not familiar with Jordan Rhone - "Founder, @arcofjusticepa
& Pennsylvanians Defeating Trump.✊🏼 Democratic
strategist. Attorney. Gen Z. Views my own" - but from him this
reassuring tweet:

>>Pennsylvania will have hundreds of thousands of Democratic votes
dropping after midnight in Philly and the heavily blue suburbs. Yes,
there is currently a “red mirage,” but it will get close again.
Kamala can — and will — leapfrog Trump. This is still very much a
toss-up.<<

Kevin slipped in. You make me want to go visit BlueSky to wallow in
that old-Twitter feeling. I miss that a great deal tonight.

Rhone's take sounds realistic to me, Angie.

Right now in Pennsylvania, according to AP, Trump is up by about 1.1
million votes. But there are more than 2 million votes outstanding,
the vast majority of them in areas where Harris is in the lead.

How about some good news? New York and Colorado have both moved
abortion rights into their state constitutions!

It's even better in the New York version:

>>No person shall be denied the equal protection of the laws of this
state or any subdivision thereof. No person shall, because of race,
color, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, creed [or],
religion, or sex, including sexual orientation, gender identity,
gender expression, pregnancy, pregnancy outcomes, and reproductive
healthcare and autonomy, be subjected to any discrimination in [his
or her] their civil rights by any other person or by any firm,
corporation, or institution, or by the state or any agency or
subdivision of the state, pursuant to law.<<

Our trans friends have something to truly celebrate.

Larry in there with less than wonderful news. God, the whipsawing!

And Robert Reich has this to say:

"We're a long way from knowing the results.

Every state Trump has won so far is a solidly red state.

Every state Harris has won is solidly blue.

Nothing on the presidential map has flipped. No swing states are
close enough to call."

counted, per the @FBI and are targeting the largest black districts
in particular.

The AP map has 108 EV's for Harris, 94 leaning, for a total of 202.
41 unknown (WA, OR, CA, ID, NV, AK, HI). If all of those go Harris
(unkikely), that's 243 EVs. Flip PA from leaning Trump to leaning,
Harris gets 262.

I don't think any of the other leaning states are likely to flip. I think
it's over.
