The Ancient City on the planet DaughterWorld is ancient indeed. Legends tell of how the first humans on the planet took shelter in its ruins. Over time they rebuilt and repopulated the city, making it their own. Succeeding generations spread out into the surrounding countryside as later arrivals settled the rest of the planet. Today The Ancient City remains an important center of commerce, art, and learning.
