Addiction Technology Transfer Centers

The Addiction Technology Transfer Centers (ATTC) consist of a national network of centers for the purpose of improving the skill level of addiction treatment practitioners. The centers are a good source of information about alcohol and other drugs. The National ATTC web site maintains an index to all of the local centers. Drug Photos

Super models, movie stars and others have their pages of photos, now there is a page of drug pictures. The Indiana Prevention Resource Center has put color photographs of drugs and drug-related topics on its web site at the Drug Photo Archive Page.

The RANES Report: Roizen's Alcohol News & Editorial Service is a web site developed by noted sociologist, Ron Roizen. It promises to offer a perspective on the wet vs dry neoprohabitionist debate that is thoughtful, critical, and both scientifically and historically informed.

The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) web page contains information about their efforts on the safety and nutritional quality of our food supply and on reducing the carnage caused by alcoholic beverages.

Another Empty Bottle is another good 12 Step site designed especially for friends and family of the alcoholic.

Postgraduate Medical Fellowships in Alcoholism and Drug Abuseincludes a discription and listing of fellowships available.

MedWeb by the Emory University Health Sciences Center Library provides on of the most comprehensive searchable lists of biomedical web sites. This is the Yahoo of medicine. See the substance abuse section for links to our area.
