The Legal Action Center is the only law and policy organization in the United States that fights discrimination against people with histories of addiction, AIDS, and criminal records and advocates for sound public policies in these areas.

Alcohol, Other Drugs, and Violence Prevention Meeting

U.S. Department of Education's 12th Annual National Meeting on Alcohol, Other Drugs, and Violence Prevention in Higher Education

For more than a decade, the National Meeting has provided a forum to discuss alcohol, other drug, and violence prevention issues, data, research, and resourceful programs at colleges and universities.

Healthy People 2010

Healthy People 2010 is the national prevention initiative (now under development) to improve health in the next decade. It will be the third set of national targets established for health promotion and disease prevention.

On September 15, 1998, a draft of Healthy People 2010 was published for public comment. To facilitate this process, five Regional Meetings will be held to gather feedback.

The National Association of Psychiatric Health Systems (NAPHS) represents behavioral healthcare systems that are committed to the delivery of responsive, accountable, and clinically effective treatment and prevention programs for people with mental and substance abuse disorders.

AddictionTtreatment Forum

The goal of the AddictionTtreatment Forum is to serve the addiction treatment community - both professionals and patients - as reporters of what has happened, what is happening today, and what might happen to further the successful treatment of drug addictions. This web site features recent past issues of the A.T. Forum newsletter, plus updated news reports, notices of upcoming events, and other current information.

Fry

Find out about fry, marijuana or tobacco cigarettes dipped in embalming fluid, from the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (TCADA). Wets and Water are other slang terms for "fry."
